Conch shells on the beach.

Lambi shells as waste from a local restaurant.

Grenada and the Grenadines - admin.

The Lambi or Conch is a large shellfish with a sweet taste.

This seafood is very popular in the west indies.
The mollusk is very tasty with a sweetish flavour.
On the picture you see typical garbage on the islands.

Everywhere you find these shells with a slit from a cutlass at the point.
That is where the creature attaches to its shell.

When you make a cut at the end the mollusk looses its grip and the flesh can be extracted.
