Windmill ruin on Mount Royal.

Windmills on Carriacou were used for sugar cane.

After the abolition of slavery there was no more use for these mills.
Many plantations fell to ruins, and there are still many remains on the island to be found.
About eight of these old windmill ruins are still to be seen, but quite a few are not reachable by car.
